v1 and spec display

hey guys, i know that the v1 has no spec display, but i had a bel sti driver before and loved that feature...i guess my question is, is there a cheaper radar i can run with the V1 that won't kill to much of the power of the v1... maybe you just have to give something up to get something else... ie arrows for spec display lol. but i don't wanna spend to much more money...can anyone help or am i SOL.

Well, you can run something else that has a Spec Display, such as an Escort 8500 or an 8500 X50 unit for about $120.

Mount it far away from the V1.

Why do you need the Spec display for? Are you hunting down 35.5 or just curious about what's out there?

for some reason i picked this radar stuff up as a hobby and love it lol. so a little of both ...but it would be nice to see those 35.5 pest and see how the v1 performs...

If I were you, I would get a V1 carry case and concealed display and hardwire the unit.

Then start learning how it behaves in certain situations.

Ok, now take it one step further, go to radio shack and get yourself a lighted 12VDC kill switch for it.

I think the Whister Pro78se will display the particular Ka band. Its also pretty stealthy. It might intefere less with the V1. The V1 will likely interfere with any other RD. Do you still have your STi Driver?

no sir, i sold it to get the V1...i didn't have good luck with the sti...i felt the range wasn't that great compared to my gf v1..so i switched and i love it...but i just bought a passport 8500 last night for 140. give it a try.

your 8500 will do spec.nice choice i have a 8500 and i love it.
