I have had pop on since I first got my Pop2 upgrade and I have no problems having pop on. Also Pop on is factory default setting.

I always get a little nervous when I see people with valuable RD's (valuable in their capabilities) - turning off features just for the sake of quiet is not the smartest thing to do IMO. Buy another not so sophisticated brand and drive happily down the highway. I know I want to be alerted to everything.

If you turn POP off on the V1, do you no longer get the Ka falses that "J" out, or do you still get some?

You'll still get the "J" alerts regardless of turning PoP on or off.

I too leave Pop on. i don't seem to notice any difference as far as falses go.

I'm well off without POP, cause they don't use it here - they use a similarly nasty device: photoradar Multanova and some Gatsos. The question is: does anybody think that it would be better to have POP on because that could (wouldn't it?) improve general Ka detection? Especially for low powered radars like Multanovas are... Has anybody from Europe tested it yet?

    Thanks for your thoughts.
