OP needs to budget for a jammer with all that Lidar action he's experiencing driving that huge reflector. If he keeps it up his next thread is going to be in the HOW TO BEAT YOUR TICKET
Totally disagree. From my own experience, amongst others, having your RD mounted 12" higher on your windshield isn't making but a .0001 percent of a difference in k/ka detection. The only reason it makes a difference riding low on Lidar is since the shooter has a close-range "narrow beam" pointed directly at your front-end. Trust me, I'm not saying riding low will give much of a decent chance to avoiding laser, but it's quicker detection than riding high.

I know you're trying to be helpful and that's a good thing. I also know of the V wonder venerable Lidar detection capabilities all too well; however, the point I'm trying to bring across is whether it's up high, down low, or in the grill for that matter- it makes no difference.

In that type of vehicle or any for that matter, by the time the V1 alerts the officer already has the speed on his gun at the same instance. If knowing this and you both still choose to not use a jammer, them by all means feel free! As they say, "whatever floats your boat".

Before treading dangerous waters you, the OP or others need to visit/re-visit the thread Has anyone tried to outbrake laser with a V1?

    Good luck with your choices!

If you want to be hit you have to at least be exposed, why are you not in the fast lane?!

Besides if your in a jacked up 4x4 the narrow laser would be difficult to pick up at a couple hundred feet with your chrome bumper 36" off the ground.

These types of 'motorcycle cop w/ laser' encounters happen all the time around cincinnati and columbus (im on the road nearly every day for my job). I never get a valentine one laser alert with them. Not once.

Sometimes I wil get a laser alert from a highway patrol car when they are parked sideways in the median.

It just seems like its too much to ask to get an alert when im in line-of-sight of a motorcycle cop using laser.
Yes, if he's not targeting you you will not get an alert, especially at close range.

If you want to guarantee it will go off, drive faster to make sure you are the target. Believe it or not, some of these guys are pretty good about estimating speed and are selective on their targets!!

You were barely going 65 MPH so why would he bother to shoot you?
The cars around you were going about the same speed you were, so why would he bother to shoot them?

If you want to get laser alerts on your V1, you need to drive faster!
