I've had several strange encounters with my V1; in fact, I'm starting to think my windshield may be causing some issues on detection, although I don't know of anything in it that would cause issues. Anyways, I've had my V1 for around 2 months now and it seems as if when I'm approaching a leo, I'm not getting the range that I should be getting (normally about 2 or 3 tenths of a mile, although a half mile does occasionally happen), but after passing the leo, I get a much more consistent alert and the V1 holds onto the alert longer. A lot of these encounters have been on straight and flat roads, so obstructions of any sort are out of the question. After the first couple of times, I thought just maybe the rear antenna of the leo's car was in use, but it's happened so much that I think it's out of the question. I drive a 97 F150 with what seems to be a very "normal" windshield; I've also done research on it, and nothing odd seems to be added. It is the original factory windshield. Also, I have the latest version of the V1. Perhaps I'll try some different mounting locations; as of now, I have it mounted slightly off centered right above my rearview mirror. Any ideas as to what is going on?
Edit: I forgot to add, my town uses K and Ka band about equally. Both provide about the same results.
