Default Has anyone seen this 52mm gauge V1 display?

Seems like an awesome idea to me, I don't really like the band indicators looking like numbers but I really like the signal strength. Also the arrows are gone and you get little dashes representing the position

    Opinions?

This was posted some time back... and if I remember correctly someone complained about (Your exact thoughts) those little dashes being either:

    A) Disappearing at any whim of sunlight on them...

    -AND/OR-

    B) Being nearly impossible to tell at a quick-glance the threats location...

So I think the real-deal from VR is advised.

The all-red band LED indicators on the factory displays are bad enough for some people, this goes a further step back by turning the arrows into dashes. Seeing the signal strength meter "rev up" may encourage me to rev up the engine too

Looks like they took a display intended for some other purpose and repurposed it into a V1 remote display.

Looks like it has a 3-digit 7-segment display plus LEDs around the perimeter. They had to work with what they had to use it for the V1.

I suppose it's good for a stealth install in an RD-illegal location, but otherwise, I fail to see the point.

I think its a cool idea, it would just be a matter of getting used to the way it displays the info. If V1 made a CD in a gauge type form factor like this, I think they'd sell the crap out of them! It makes for a nice clean install in a gauge pod! I'd buy one in a heartbeat!

    Nope,

Band indicators are even more cryptic, their version of arrows looks like a V1 visual laser warning, confusing. I think kpatz has a good scope on it.

A little better than the current V1 display, but not enough to warrant getting one.
