Default PLEASE talk me out of bidding on a V1 companion

I don't need it, I really, really don't, but there is an Escort DSP on EPay, complete, box and all, and it looks like this piece of museum equipment is gonna sell for under $50.

I used to have one, think it's still around somewhere, though I haven't seen it since the V1, and for some reason it just calls to me. Mine didn't have the key as it had the validation thing turned off. Actually, I recall sending it in to have it turned off, as I bought it at a pawn shop, and had called CM to make sure it wasn't on their stolen list. Probably was obtained underhandedly, but I was trying to cover all the bases, as I have had a couple stolen in the past, I don't want to contribute, y'know?

I must need medication of some sort.... No Ka, no laser...I've gotta let the past go.

you might as well buy it cause from reading your signature you can't speed anyway so no need to worry

careful that thing is so old it might emit radiation, if you start to develop a prominent unibrow i would get rid of it ASAP

Yep, I finally convinced myself I'd rather have nothing if I don't have arrows. The memories are good, and it was because of the DSP lacking Ka I got the V1. Got tagged for almost 90 in a 65 on the bike because of it. I managed to resist blurting out "but I *did* slow down..."

I have the original solo with the key. The detector doesn't work anymore because I accidentally zapped the key with static electricity. It isn't worth what Escort wants to disable the key feature, not to mention it's just X and K band. Love my V1.
