V1 vs Ka. 3 miles, 3 hills great detection!

On my way back from the state championship, the V1 demonstrated it's awesomeness again.

While topping a hill, it started to alert to weak Ka and pointed ahead. I expected to see a LEO on the other side, but there was none.

The signal dropped off as I got to the bottom of the hill and then ramped back up as I crested another hill.


With the arrow pointing ahead, I started looking for a LEO ahead of me traveling in my lane.

Finally as I crested the third hill,(V1 alerting all the way up the hill) I saw an FHP car running c/o in the median, beyond the top.

I still wish belscort had returned my STi-R from repair before the trip, but the V1 impressed me again.

Before, my STi-R, the V1 was my best-ever at obstructed-radar detection. The combination of sensitivity and reactivity make it shine in those conditions.

BTW, My STi-R came back from repair today and the LEO's were doing heavy traffic enforcement when I took it for a drive.

With about 5 Ka encounters and countless K-band falses....

STi-R > V1 on Ka band
