    Default Valentine 1 computer sounds

Does anybody have the equipment to record some V1 sounds? I thought it would be kindof neat to have some V1 sounds on my computer.

Like for Windows startup... Beep boop beep boop...dee DEE dee DEE!

hey that is a pretty cool idea!

some mp3 players have a recording function. it should be easy to accomplish. Many mobile phones also can record but their quality is not so good.

the best woud be someone who has a laptop, connect a microphone to it, get in their car, put the car next to the V1 and record it as a WAV file.

Maybe at lunch I'll take my laptop out to my car and record my V1.

I've actually thought about recording them too, but a mic will not give the best sound. Especially with the piezo speaker inside. The best way would be to connect the headphone accessory to the V1 then hook up the headphone jack to the computer's input.

That way you get a cleaner recording with no ambient noise.

what Mase says is right, that's the best way to get highest quality. But a mic could do it temporarily until somebody is nice enough to go through all that trouble

i'll; definately use the v1's startup for my Windows XP's startup sound!

But why stop there? You could use V1 sounds for other Windows events: for example, when you get new e-mail, the laser sound would go off. And if you have a spam blocker, have it play the "J"unk bogey sound when it blocks spam.

    Or V1 cellphone ringtones!

Get a call, it goes beep (X band).

Get a private call, it goes brap (K band).

Get an out-of-area call, it goes brap-brap (Ka band).

The mother-in-law calls, it sounds laser!

If you get another call while on the phone, the call-waiting sound could be the bogey-lock tone!

And of course, if it's a telemarketer, it would play the "J"unk-out tone.

Hey, my 904th post! The wavelength of Lidar!

Haha. At first I thought this thread was stupid but that is f***ing brilliant. Except I think I would just set it up for every email that comes in...same effect.
