Default I should have listened to ya'll

As an avid reader on this forum, and a V1 user, I kept seeing threads about sending off my 10 year old V1 for a tuneup. Well, it finally happened, V1 went deaf on X band in front of store door opener. I could not believe it! My old trusty friend. Ok, so many of you will say "Told ya so!" Learned my lesson to follow the advice on this forum. V1 is on a UPS truck, bound for Cincinnati right now. A big thanks to all zombies for trying to tell me.

It's been awhile for me as well, about 2 years. After my last 400 mile trip it seemed to a bit quiet; are the tune ups still $50? I believe I have v 3.864 should I look to upgrade the firmware as well?

A check up is $45. They can upgrade your V1 for $129 )I believe) to a 3.872. Reportedly it's more solid than the 3.864 as fas as ghosting goes.

My 3.872 seems slightly quieter on K-band. Appears to have coincided with the changing autumn weather. Off-axis falses are later and weaker. C/O is never used on the highways I frequent, so interpreting real encounters can be a challenge. Numerous encounters, no close calls.

Considering taking advantage of Escorts return policy and test-driving a Redline for the Holiday trip to Seattle.
Hopefully have a couple weeks with the two together

Yes, I sent a money order for $45.00, Shipping with UPS ground, adding in additional insurance was around $15.00, so total was $60.00 to regain peace of mind. V1 ROCKS!
BTW how do i put that little zombie character on my posts that most of the V1 zombies have?? Thanks..

You should have waited to trade it on the new V2 coming out early next year
