3.872 bushnell = Ka ghosted + K band?
Got a Bushnell for Christmas and was testing out QT and what not.
After a few hits it would often alert Ka, two bogeys Ka+K. It seemed to do it more with POP off, but I believe I got it to go to Ka with POP on once.
So, what do you guys think is the brand new Bushnell out of tune, the V1 acting up, or some strange forces acting upon us?
On a quick note of my findings with Q/T
With POP off it missed a fair amount of really quick Q/T's (holding the gun sideways and just slapping the trigger basically with my finger, not even sure if it could acquire a speed that quick).
With POP on, missing a shot was extremely rare, and it had to be extremely quick.
Also, assuming the V1 parks on K band also, once it had a lock it was pretty much impossible to miss a shot.
If the V1 does not park on K band then this was just a fluke. I always heard once Ka is alerted to it kind of turns off Ka guard for 10 seconds aka parking, not sure if it does this on other bands.

The bushnell radar gun is k-band but if you you fire the gun right next to the antenna it will ghost on Ka.

I find this often to happen with my V1 as well. The Ka alert only happens when I'm shooting the Bushnell in my car, literally right next to the V1. If you're doing this your V1 will alert to Ka since the source of radar is so powerful and close to your V1.. If you go outside and have someone shoot Q/T while your driving down the street the ghosting and alerting to Ka will stop, due to the fact that the source of radar isn't as strong.
In regards to POP on/POP off it all depends on what is used in your area. Yes, POP being on does help the V1 pick up SOME Q/T shots on certain bands and is weaker on other ones. Conversely, with POP off, the V1 picks up the other bands the V1 isn't so strong on when POP is on. Hence, it all depends on what frequencies of radar are used in your area.

Ok, that is what I was was hoping. Thanks! Going to do some other testing also, but it's cold out haha.
I personally keep POP off in ohio to avoid cobras alerting my detector. I have read into POP a fair amount, but thank you for the information!

Mine does the same on my V1 and ix, so no worries.
