is the fact that at night I have no clue what band is being detected. They really need to use different colored lights.

I think almost everyone agrees on that. See the sticky for a solution.
Agreed, I'd love to see a belscort type LED display on the V1.Originally Posted by dx2995
In the mean time, I got a remote display and had it modified by a guy on this board. Now when I get lasered I have a blue light, KA = red K = yellow and X = green.
I have the remote also, but I don't use it as I am use to looking at the RD. Should you really have to spend more money to get the different colored leds? At $450 bucks I would think it should come with it.
I agree but if you want a display with different colors talk to these guys:Originally Posted by dx2995

Spoiler: show
I'm usually OK with the different sounds that you get based on the band being detected but also my eye is good enough to notice whether the LED is lighting up beside or above the side tip of the forward arrow. Below, it's a less urgent band. At or above, it's moreso. Different colors would be helpful but they don't strike me as completely vital. Just a matter of preference I suppose.
I have my V1 set on maximum volume 99% of the time.

Listen to the audio
night day what's the diff lifespeed
I don't even look at the band indicator. The audio tells me what and how many, the arrows tell me where.
