How long does it take for Valentine One to repair a unit?

As you guys may have known, my girlfriend got me a V1 for Christmas. When I got it, it wasn't in tune so Valentine Research said they will repair it.

I sent the unit in late December and I still haven't gotten it back. I've called twice and they've said that they were doing "minor adjustments."

Is it normal for it to take this long?

APPARENTLY TWO MONTHS.

Maybe the lost it. I sent mine in last month and got it back 8 days later.

That seems like a long time.I would keep phoning them to see what is takig them.

Not only would I be demand for the unit back to me by the end of this week, I would demand small refund (reduction in price) on the unit. It came broken, and it's taking over a month to fix. COMPLETE BS should your claims be true.

My suggestion would be tell the reps that you want to contact Mike (the tech) personally. I'd bet he has this solved in no time.

As far as 'they lost the unit'... that is one of the most silly things I have ever heard. If VR lost the unit... they have a couple units to errr... replace it with (Duh... Big-Red-Truck)? Now my guess is it was misplaced (as in the wrong pile somewhere) and it's fixed just not being shipped out. (Unless one is speaking of the shipper losing it).

I think every-time I have sent in my V1 (Well over 5 by now for that f*ing thing)... I had it back within 2 weeks... sometimes a week. Granted I specifically state in my note: The problem, and to call me once it is looked at... it still shouldn't take that long at all.

To the OP, normally it takes a week, sometimes two, plus your shipping times there to VR and back.

If you shipped in late December, VR got the V1 in early January, add two weeks repair time, maybe more for the holidays - bad weather, and a week back to you. Yeah, you could be looking at about now to get your V1 back, holidays and bad weather happen.

The V1 needed a tune…. did your girlfriend buy the V1 new or used?
