    heh... yeah

It is brand new. I had it open within five minutes of taking it out of the box. I can't resist. Plus I wanted to take off the front label and that seemed like the easiest way.

My plans are very simple. There's a metal trim piece under my steering column. I cut out a rectangle along the edge for the audio unit so it can sit flush with it. I'm waiting for some paint to dry on it then I'll have pictures.

Oh. I was worried they were electrically incompatible or something. Basically, since the Escort speaker is powered for extra amplification so it needs to run to a power source by itself. The power doesn't go to the V1 remote audio, but the cable for the audio does. It would plug into the "headphone" jack on the back.

You know the remote audio control is pretty loud?

I might try the same thing with my Escort speaker, but the remote audio is pretty loud.
