The 9500ci or Sti-R Plus is ideal.

Get the STi-R Plus. It has Ka segmentation, which seems like it would be very beneficial to you because you already know what gun is used in your area. It also has RDR off and TSR. The 9500ci isn't a good choice because you're paying $400 more for useless laser jammers and less features. The 9500ci doesn't have Ka segmentation, RDR off, or TSR (im like 90% sure on the TSR).

If you want a windshield unit keep the V1. If you want a remote unit the STi R Plus would be my first choice The Q45 will perform much like the 8500. If you only see Ka band, the new Whistler 360 might be another alternative. It has good Ka band detection, is priced closer to the Q45 and has better features. However the STi R Plus is the best remote unit IMO.

I'd look at either the Whistler 3600 or the Beltronics STi-R Plus for remote units.

Are detectors legal to use in Chile?
I can find noting to indicate if it is legal or not.

If not, you may need to go with the STi-R to be completely undetectable.
If they are legal, you options can include the Whistler Pro-3600, the Escort, Qi-45 or the Bel RX-45

If the STi-R is too rich for you and if detection by the Spectre is a concern, the 3600 was detected less than 130ft from both the Spectre III and the Spectre Elite. The Qi-45/RX-45 was still fairly good at under 300ft. For reference, the V1 did well and was detectable at just under 200ft.
