V1 install in a Lotus Elise (with remote display)
Here are some shots of my V1 installed in a Lotus Elise. I can't tell you how many times I've been told the unit is mounted backwards. I like having it near my head - makes it easier to hear it with the top off and easy to pull down in a hurry. ;)

Here's the unit as shown from the back. When I want to hide it, I simply throw a ball cap over it.

As seen from out the front.

Here's the remote display near my left knee when driving.

Nice looking pictures and install. How is the V1 installed or strapped down?

I currently have it fitted with a black zip tie which allows me to put it on/pull it off very easily. The power cord keeps it from moving a lot.
I'm planning on getting the bracket painted black to make the install a bit more stealthy -- then I will try some 3M Dual Lock (like an advanced velcro).

you should just cover it so u dont have to pop it down
Re: V1 install in a Lotus Elise (with remote display)
how did you mount that? or what mount is it? any close ups?

It's mounted on a bracket specifically made for the Lotus Elise. An enthusiast on the boards had a bunch made up and sold them to other forum members and it's similar to this one. In the third photo you can see the silver bracket - it uses existing holes in the panel.
I have since painted the bracket black and I'm using 3M Dual Lock to hold it down.
