    Default What kind of false positive is an quick ramp-up then slow decay (radar)?

    I often get radar false positives that come on very quickly then decrease in intensity over one or two seconds. Any idea what these are?

    If it is a Ka alert, it is the Ka Guard trying to suppress a Cobra. To help, turn off POP (J arrow down) if no MPH guns are used in your area.... Note to add: Could be road sensors or even photo radar if in the same spot but you stated false positives. What Band? X or K or Ka?

    like NA mentions your picking up Cobra or another false and while passing the rear antenna has a wide field of vision compared to the front which holds falases longer.

    Depends on whether its X/K band or Ka. If it's X or K band, you're most likely picking up traffic flow sensors. If it's Ka band, it's most likely a false from a Cobra like the others have said.
