This is one of my complaints about the V1.
No Automute is most annoying especially with those "High Powered" K band drones in PA.
You pick them up for miles with BOTH antennas,.....

But on the V1 you can set the muted volume separately, which you can't do on the X50. So automute on the V1 would be a good thing in my book.

I dont see how you belscort users live without better ramp up, arrows, better audio, and better laser detection.... :?

I would rather Mike focus on detection and sensitivity than automute... its not that hard to hit the mute button if you want to ignore the alert.

Well, we can discuss those issues in another topic, but this thread is about auto-mute and it seems clear that it is a great feature to have and many V1 owners want it.

I think Valentine has the detection and sensitivity down. Sure, its not hard to hit a button - but its much nicer to have the ability to do it automatically - and on all bands.

yeah, if they tie it in with the control lever, then you could set the exact level for the automute, that would be great.

if VR puts automute and different colors per band indicator, i see no more competition

the only reason i like the 8500 is the automute function and your ability to know which band is alerting even when mute
