Sad old mounting job!
I dont understand how people think that is an effective way to mount a RD. Just use some common sense.
This is why officers think even v1s don't work! Great!
If I'm seeing that pic right, not only is the antenna angled toward the hood but the display end is also angled toward the driver.
Bet he gets great off-axis detection from LEOs in foxholes on the side of the road. And the rear antenna picks up UFOs and helicopters...
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!
If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

some friend or relative insisted he TRY his detector because "it really does work"
this guy can now say "Hey, I tried one. All it did was squawk a lot and when I actually saw a COP the thing was quiet"
That is plain sad. I always wonder why many people will put a V1 right in the center of the windshield?
But why are Cobras put just above the dashboard? I have a friend who makes real good money, has nice rides and he buys a $100 RD. His is right on top of his dash in the center. Why?
Was that in ohio? I swear I seen the same truck, same mount job.
