Quick Trigger and Ka Guard settings.
Has a definitive test been conducted confirming that the V1 does in fact catch Ka Quick Triggers more often with Ka guard off vs on?
I've watched dozens of videos regarding QT including the "LEO from Texas" videos but I just can't find any specific tests comparing the V1 against QT with Ka Guard on vs. off.

Re: Quick Trigger and Ka Guard settings.
Guard OFF is faster
but it's not free, of course
ya get more Ka falses, some of which are obvious because you get multiple[harmonic] bogeys in rapid succession
with Guard ON the V-1 waits a fraction of a second to see if those harmonics are present, if they'er not there then it alerts. If they appear, during the timeframe, the alert is supressed
With Guard ON, if a Q/T shot is short enough(for whatever reason) and falls below the time threshold for the Guard process, there is no alert. With Guard OFF, there is no delay for the process so any Ka-signal results in an immediate alert

escortradar forum has the test result of a .872 that a few members here were part of.

Thanks. I wanted to actually see the difference.
Been running with the guard off for a few weeks now and getting used to the falses. I drive I-95 everyday and have always wondered what's up when I pass an FHP cruiser sitting on the side of the road and no alerts. Yeah he could be doing paperwork or looking for something else, but I suspect it's QT sometimes. Now I'll know if he is shooting QT. Where I am the FHP use Laser or Ka, that's it.

FHP still uses VASCAR, so watch out for that.

Re: Quick Trigger and Ka Guard settings.
What is the deal with the ability to change the Ka to more responsive? I just did this, but I not sure exactly what it truly means. I figured that more responsive is more sensitive? Or will I pick up more false Ka?

This is a copy/paste from another thread:
"The ramping or more responsive setting does exactly as you say, it spikes existing signals up to higher levels. Basically it turns the V1 into a liar by crying wolf before there is a wolf.
It will not make the V1 alert to a Ka signal any sooner, it will just lie about its strength.
As most people know, the V1 has a great ramp-up that allows you to see & hear how strong the signal is or how much "inside the radar cone" you are. I don't use the more responsive setting because I want to know exactly where I stand inside the beam. Hope that helps."
