Programming a V1

I have been living with my V1 for a month or two, and am comfortable with it's performance. I think that I am ready to program it to ignore all X-Band. My question is whether or not this only works in "l" or "L" modes, and returns to normal in "A" (my preference) or the programming affects all of the modes.

Turning off X band will leave is disabled in all modes. The l/L modes are only affected by the K-band muting.
