So yesterday I finally had the time to hardwire my V1. The ground connector is hooked to a grounded screw (which there is another ground wire coming from the same screw as well for another accessory) and the power tapped into one of the lines that was tapped into the the accessory outlet. Plugged everything in and turned it on and....nothing!
So frustrating when you go through all that only to have nothing work. I don't know what or why it is not working. The ground connection is secured. So is the power wire. I am thinking maybe the connector for the power wire didn't cut through enough of the feeding wire? I am not sure but I will try again tomorrow. I can't think of anything else. Unfortunately I don't have any equipment to test the lines to see if there is power going through but I know for a 100% its the right wire. Plus my vehicle has the accessories work only when the keys are in, turns off as soon as they are removed. It's not like I tapped into the wrong power wire but maybe the connector didn't close enough as it should. I thought it did, it snapped closed. I guess I'll try to feed another power wire. Prob test a new ground location before dealing with the power. Damnit!
Sorry fellas, just needed to vent, been waiting to do this for so long and I hate when I run into these issues.
