I know that not all version changes infovled a hardware change. This one does, though. It has new hardware to allow the ESP, I do believe it's hardware version 1.85. There's some good reading on another forum about it, and think I saw a couple posts about it here.

I call VR today and they are sending my V1 back with the 3.893 version software back next week.

Has anyone been able to find out what the difference is between 3.893 and 3.892? I suppose VR will just say it was for "manufacturing reasons" with "no performance difference."

I haven't noticed any performance difference between the .872 and .392. The only difference is TSR (which is good) and ESP for the lackluster savvy.
3.893 this soon after an update doesn't make any sense and the only reason to get it without an advertised performance increase would be to say " I HAVE A 3.893!!!!!!!" like a suburbanite teenager showing off her apple bottom jeans and boots with fur way after the fad is over.

Savvy doesn't need ESP. It works with any model of V1.

It was ask about the difference between 3.892 to 3.893 and they said .The rep said there was no user-discernible difference; the only difference is how they test the units internally.

They told me the same thing and said it is not a free upgrade even if you just received 3.892
