AvBest doesnt like videos with detections occuring in the middle of the video and neither do I. So I have been driving with my cell phone on in places where I have detected threats before. If I drive for 5 minutes with no detection I delete the video, and start a new one. These are all of me going to work, or on my way home from work. So if you watch enough in due time you might get to know this stretch lol.

For safety I bought a window mounted cell phone holder, but havent had time to figure out how I want to use it to capture moving targets. I set my phone options for camera wide. This way I can drive and I basically keep my eyes on the road, and subconsciencely point the camera as to not take my eyes off the road. If it feels dangerous to me driving with one hand I simply slow down, because it's when I'm driving fast around sharp bends that it gets uncomfortible.

I hope you folks enjoy this lol. A V1 save will be listed if it really is a save. If it's just me cruising at speed limit, and no so much a save I will annotate it as a none-save. Since my phone is an extra limb. You guys are practically guarenteed almost daily videos because I have an hour drive to work, and an hour drive from work. (35 minute drive at 90mph lmao).

NONE OF THESE VIDEOS ARE ME JUST HUNTING AROUND COPS lol.. I dont got time for that. Most of the drive is through the city, but I have a good 15 mile stretch of country highway. I havent tagged a bogey yet on it, but it's where I get sometimes 10 mile detections! So lets cross our fingers.

After posting my greatest save, and pumped about getting my 3rd V1 shipped to me. I had a bad experience with Valentine Research. So I purchased a 9500ix. You may read about my experience here.

After having found the 9500ix very inferior to V1 I sucked up the bad expereince and went with what I know works best (V1). I had seen for myself despite what online reviews showed. Despite what online field tests represented, and all these things that made the escort 9500ix comparable to the V1 as FALSE INFORMATION!(My Opinion) It is in my opinion detection wise match for match the V1 destroys the 9500ix while ACTUALLY USING IT ON THE ROADS! V1 just detects insanely far away compared to ANYTHING! I havent tried the Red Line out, or put it side by side V1 so I cannot comment on it, but my lack of faith that it can hang with V1 is very present from what I interpret as "FALSE" data regarding "Radar Detector Tests" you find online. I credit much of the points given to the 9500ix as merely a big bag of cash being handed to the field testers to portray the Escort products more than what they are, or can do (Again this is my opinion, and how I perceive the 9500ix detections stats). To summarize. I honestly dont see how the 9500ix was getting such detection comparisons when I tried it out for myself, and V1 smashes it in the ground. (Maybe I had a bad 9500ix???) Possible, BUT I HAVENT EVER HAD A BAD V1 YET! So this is my "Tucking Tail" and sending my 9500ix back thread. When I realized the 9500ix was proabably going to land me a ticket. (Yes) The one I had was THAT BAD of detection range, and it was brand new!

Also [replacer_img] I missed that HARDY TOUGH VERY WELL BUILT V1 CHASIS. The 9500ix plastic chasis made me fear if the suck cups came off the windshield. It would damage it's fragile feeling body losing 500$.

If Escort would provided me a free Red Line + a live subscription. I would provide daily detections\videos of the unit in action interfaced into my Android phone! (Saying this in hopes to freely get to try out a RedLine lol) As I am curious if it too is like the over exagerated 9500ix, or if it really can hang with the worlds best radar detector!

Comments: I had got a KA brap as I was eating a taco. I kept getting the brap as V1 ramped up. I finished my taco after about two miles, and the brap escalated. I grabbed my phone. Started videoing, and soon as I did. The KA copper comes up out of no where to my right side peripheral vision. Scared the ***t out of me. So I captured it. The on-ramp this cop took. Is the same on-ramp I took 4 years ago at 120mph during my greatest save ever. Ive been driving this same highway for 6 years. I know all the false alerts by heart. I know when it's a false K, and a threat K within the false K's boundary, by the sixth sense V1 gives!

Comments: As to avoid legal action against me I wont tell my speed that I was doing in this video. Just know Texas highways speed is 75mph, and 65mph in the city. Notice how I blast right past everyone. So that should let you know if I am speeding or not lol.
This was a definite cop save, and as I pre-meditated the location always being a cop hot spot. Sure enough there was a hidden bogey. What you must note about this encounter. Is on this stretch of highway. V1 got a taste of that KA burst miles out, and it silenced. I drove some time before running into more aggressive signal. He was the ONLY possibly bogey to give that early warning. This is when I said "Theres a KA, and was getting some K band false at the same time". I never get KA at that false zone. This was a duel stretch so there was no off axis possibility of any other cop. This is but one example of how far V1 will chime in on a bogey. I got plenty more coming for you radar\V1 Zombies. Just stick around my thread .

Comments:This would have been a save if it werent for the fact the officer wasnt sitting on the opposite side of the traffic with someone else nailed. I consider a save to be when the officer is sitting in strike mode like a snake, and your speeding, and V1 saves you from that little yellow paper.

On my way home from work not but two miles from my home out in the country high ways and right when I was about to turn off the video camera and get gas at the shell station I got a KA brap. This is why V1 provides a functionality that no other detector can. Not only did I pick up a trooper who was to my right(when at the light taking a left into the gas station), and miles away down the road. I pulled into a Shell gas station (The detection arrow was showing to the rear). I was still getting signal. I pulled into the station, and quickly turned around trying not to miss any video potential. I then pulled out to the left from the Shell station taking an on-ramp for the over pass. I got more KA brap .. so just keep in mind this trooper had been driving for some time up to this point!I got on the loop 1604 headed towards the over pass. I was still detecting the KA signal. I headed towards the KA signal by following the arrows. I passed over the bridge, and the arrows went facing to the rear so I had knew the bogey passed me; V1 blanked, and no longer brapped to a threat; I knew he was now somewhere behind me. So now on the opposite side of the over pass I took a sharp left U-turn, and BANG there he was ! .You may notice you can see the shell gas station I pulled out of earlier getting the KA brap. I litterally tracked and LOCATED this cop using V1 something no detector could do. IF you dont have a V1 your detector cannot do this for you, and you would be clueless! THE 9500ix I OWNED COULD NEVER DO THIS! Of the video detections I have posted this one so far ranks #1. which brings me to a ranking system on my posted videos.

Comments: This is the cop that gave me my ticket last month. The EXACT same cop, and EXACT reason I told myself I NEED TO GET MYSELF ANOTHER VALENTINE ONE, and so I DID! Also please forgive me I had the heater on. I will not turn it on in the event of another encounter (video learning curve). Cough cough hypothetically theoretically plausibly speaking.. I was doing 118mph on this long Texas Country highway stretch. The cop car was stuff right behind the 18 wheeler. This is the rare occurance of my V1 only brapping a mile and a half away. I think that 18 wheeler had the Radar signal blocked, but none the less the reflections followed suite on rear detection around a curve, and over a bridge going up a hill to a light before I ended the video. Impressive! Enjoy this video folks! I got more to come . I go in this thursday to argue the ticket. My speedometer so happen to be failing due to speed sensor at the time(got it repaired), but I was smart enough to take videos, and get my car dealership to print me up documentation to present to the court for my 71mph\60mph zone. I remember driving my Corvette northbound on 135 at about 130 mpg…when I got a KA brap.
It scared the crap out of me!
Coincidentally, my wife was also eating a taco!
I mean, what are the chances of that happening!
Actually, because Taco Bell had a sale on Super Tacos that morning, I believe it was a Super Taco.
In order to save money in these difficult times, I chose to purchase the much less expensive bean and cheese burrito.
Anyway, I noticed the KA Kopper has seen me, so I immediately popped open my shifter knob and depressed my new Valentine One Cloaking Device engage button.
Another save.

But, I was curious at the same time. I wanted to know if I would get the same “scare the crap out of me KA brap” if my wife and I were to swap our food.
I handed her my bean and cheese burrito, she handed me her more expensive Super Taco.

I decelerated, exited the off ramp, and entered the highway in the other direction.

But before proceeding, I pulled to the shoulder of the highway, reached in my picket, took out my i-phone, and then *Googled* the word “videoing”.
I needed to know.
Yes, I thought so.......

I proceeded back down the highway but to my disappointment, the Kopper was nowhere to be found.
I had no way to confirm my theory that eating Mexican food while driving might very well have a positive impact on the V1's KA's Brap reception.
Maybe another time.

Disappointed as I was, I drove back through the same Taco Bell to order the much more expensive Super Taco.

I figured because my new V1 Cloaking Device had just saved me a couple hundred in fines, why not buy a Super Taco?

Yup I do know what you mean, and I have a Taco bell here too. I love their crunch taco's with the guaco lol, and their little hot suaces always have some really funny sayings on them.
The bean an beef burritos one cannot go wrong with. Their like what. cents .99? Now I think they went up to $1.25, and you get a whopping size burrito. Definitely can pinche some change with Taco bell LOL.

Today February 17th, 2012 this morning on my way to work I got a good KA detection captured on video,and in the light so it's easy to see. It was a unmarked busting someone on the other side of the freeway (Something the 9500ix failed to do for me on a few notes until I was practically next to the cop). I am going to upload this video to my above master post tonight [replacer_img] So be sure to check back later.


V1 also brapped KA when I was pulling into work a worker from my company was in their car next to me. Then I got a flash of a "J" as V1 called their detector JUNK lmao. I had to say it out loud even though they couldnt hear me "Get Rid of that JUNK youll only get a ticket". LOL Unfortunately I didnt Video it, but next time I'm going to try and get it calling someone else's RD JUNK then I will further insult their RD myself lmao.

TODAY MY V1 REAR VIEW MIRROR MOUNT SHOULD BE IN! I'm going to Install it this weekend. I will be sure to video the process. I am probably going to hardwire my V1 as well. I will also video that process as well [replacer_img].

Lost my bid for the V1 I was after! I will probably just buy a brand new one from VR for my wife!

Who do you work for I am very curious? Forgive my ignorance of being in the IT field for the past 8 years as my last electronics engineering job was nearly 10yrs ago, but from what I am reading of your schematic I am not quite sure what these devices are, and what they are actually cloaking?
Are you breaking the V1 down\apart, and placing the parts intelligently throughout your vehicle? I see the two speakers, and what looks to be a circular knob? Is this for selection ? I see the inverter, but am not making sense of your channels as I dont have the parts list as to know what they are or do.

I always wondered. If you had a HUGE HORN (e.g bigger radio) , e.g a very very large version of V1 .. would its detection increase having greater size horn? Also would the emission of native frequency being released make it more detecable by RDD's ?

-Looking at this schematic a little bit further. Are you reading from the V1 via the ESP system as noted with the "Driver" line in the schematic? Is j1, J2, J3 laser Jammers? V1 churps laser and initiates laser jamming ?

What I am seeing here is pre-amps, for your audible tones. Without knowing what those components are other than your basic resistors, caps, inductors\transformers, I am trying to conclude what this does. It appears you are interfacing the sound into your car sterio system.
V1 hidden install, all audio transmitted through car sterio system? Arrows wired into a dash? I dont see where V1 interfaces here. So I am assuming this is just a peice of the puzzle.

Some of the symbols I dont know. So to refresh my memory, or to make better sense I went here.

What is the following in the Schematic?
V5 5U4GT - ( come to find this is a Rectifier ?) For AC-DC. You going to be running direct off your Alternator?
Are these J1's - 3 relays? Or IR emitters (For laser jamming) ?

Once again please forgive my electronic Ignorance. It has been some time. Im here at work trying to make sense of your schematics function with what little I can remember on reading schems, lol so google is assisting me the rest of the way, but I really want to understand what this is suppose to do
