    Default V1 Returned Units

I spoke with VR, and they said that they get back about 2 Units a week, which they will re-test and sell for $359 instead of $399. Sometimes there is a waiting list for these "returned" units.

That is a good deal, but these are used now and can be considered "refurbished" by the manufacturer if they are indeed re-tested and updated to latest firmware etc.

Can you tell that it was used for 30 days?

Knowing you can get a NEW V1, (which make no mistake about it, they are new) for 360.00... why buy the competition??

To get what is including when buying a v1, you'll spend near that amount on accessories that equal what comes standard with the V1. :?:

Do you think they are indeed new, and not returns?

If they were absolutely brand NEW they would be sold as such for full price. My understanding is that returned units are virtually rebuilt and thoroughly tested and in that respect they can be expected to be as good as a new one. When they sell it to you and provide a full warranty just like any other unit, you know they are certain of it working 100%.

    I'd buy a returned V1 without a moment's hesistation.

in a word, Perfect. No way I could tell it from new. Very latest 3.826 firmware to boot. And even better, when I purchased my returned V1 I also ordered a returned concealed display, which was discounted as well since it was a return. And it was also perfect.

I bought a used 3.818 last March from VR and I could not tell either not a single scratch, I am guessing that they change out the antenna covers and maybe the case as well.
When I had my 1.7 serviced last March they did change the antenna covers and also gave me a new top case cover repaired my laser and shipped it back second day air all at no charge.
Top notch service for a unit that is going on 11 years old.

When I returned my V1(3.825) it looked brand new. So whoever got it probably thought it looked new.

You should not be able to detect the difference between new and used. I have been told if the case is scratched on a return they put a new case on it. If any upgrades are available, they apply those before sending it out. The only difference is the price.
