    Default spoke with turner

I just spoke with John Turner because I wanted to see why they would be selling a V1 for a whopping 489.95 when you could easily get it from manufacturer at 399.00. He says its for people who are overseas. He also says that before he ships anything out, he tests the product to make sure it works to specifications. He said that in his opinion, X50 was best because of less falses. He also said that V1 isn't as good at detecting laser as everybody thinks. That if a cop doesnt shoot you in the windshield, the V1 wont pick it up 50 percent of time. Is this true or is he just pulling my leg??? Which leads me to another question. How far must one be in order NOT to get a signal. In other words, what is the max distance that a V1 can pick up a signal on the most difficult gun there is (which I would imagine would be Atlanta stealth mode) I've seen data at GOL, but the V1 has detected on every picture at least 1000 ft and doesnt show what would happen beyond that. Thanks.

He is full of Crap, the V1 kicks major butt with it's laser detection!!! Myself and many others here have gotten advanced warning when the LEO was shooting cars ahead of us!! V1 laser >>>>>>ALL OTHERS... 8)

As our own Professor Jim says, "I think everyone could agree that V1 laser detection is a very different beast altogether." It's the ONLY RADAR THAT CAN DETECT THE ATLANTA STEALTH GUN!!

And who the hell is Turner?

Hes supposedly the new guy in town that seems to be copying off of radar roy. His name is John Turner and apparently hes full of crap. Also, what about my other question about detection range.

Are you talking about RADAR or LASER? GOL never did a laser detection distance test, are you thinking of VEIL guys test?

To a point, laser actually gets easier to detect the further away you are from the gun. When you're close, the beam is very small and more easily missed by most detectors, but the farther away you get the more the beam diverges. I don't think anyone has done a laser detection distance test to see just how far away it would detect.

I wanted to know how far beyond the 1000' mark it could go since I dont see anywhere else how far the V1 can detect Laser (maximum) for all the different guns. Not just for 1000' because the V1 can obviously go beyond this. (My other post was for the radar)

My bet is that if a laser signal is strong enough to produce a reflection back to the gun, it's more than strong enough to set off the V1. It makes sense because a reflection has has gone both ways, diverging tremendously on the way back to the gun. The signal that the V1 would see has only gone one direction and I presume would be significantly stronger.

Yep that dude is smoking crack--

I have picked up several laser hits off of Other cars that were targeted in front of me--AWESOME laser detection

Thats true if they were targeting your vehicle, but what about if they were targeting vehicles in front of you? On the laserveil site, I'm assuming that that was from a laser gun detecting the vehicle that the detector was on. So for instance, if you were to shoot a laser beam in front of a V1, how far in front of the V1 would it have to be shot so that the V1 would not pick it up?
