    Default Legacy mode

I've just installed the V1Connection. Does anyone know what Legacy Mode is? Some of the features don't work correctly because it's in this Legacy Mode.

    Any thought would be appreciated.

Well we need more info. What version is your V1? DO you see "ESP" by the knob? If you don't you have an older version. And that is considered Legacy mode. Do you have a concealed display and or remote audio adapter? Same thing applies.. do either have "ESP" by the button or knob?

The V1 Connection in legacy mode is basically a display with some programming options available (K band muting, band selection, are just some)

Well I feel like an idiot. I don't have the ESP model. I think I've wasted my money for this thing. To tell the truth I received the email about this new product. I figured for $50 it was a no brainer. I have no plans of buying a newer model so I probably need to sell this one. I should have checked it out before ordering. It just doesn't sound like anything I'm going to benefit from.

    Thanks!

Can you still not get the screens, but not be able to communicate to program? If you get the screens only, that is a plus because you can see the out of the box freqs! That is the main thing that it is for is to tell if it is a Cobra! Not a total loss?

The only screen I can see is the V1 screen. This was a complete waste of money for me. This thing is headed for ebay.

I didn't realize that was an option. I've listed it on eBay.

What model v1 do you have? push and hold the on button and then turn to see.

The newer ESP models gives you extra functions like freq display and able to change settings from the phone.

The pre ESP models still lets you display the reg remote settings to a phone.

Do you have an Android phone, if so you will get the remote display to it.

Yes I do have an Android phone. The problem is all I've gotten is a remote display. I'll have to check my version but either way I really haven't gained anything.

Why not sell the detector and upgrade to a new one.
Usually one in great shape can get $350-$375 on eBay.
    A new one from V1 is $399.
