V1 = excellent K Band detection

K Band detection with the V1 is amazing.
I picked up a K band speed sign today on the turnpike from 3.3 miles.

Set my odometer at first alert.

Plus the speed sign was off the road a bit, and not even set up.

Gotta love K Band detection on the V1!

That and the X50 are pretty much untouched in K band.


Hey BTW: If the speed sign wasnt 'set up' how did you get this range.

Don't know. It was an orange sign on wheels and the speed display part of the sign was folded down(as if in tow mode) but the radar must have been still been turned on. It was about 10 - 15 feet off the right shoulder.

They was just trying to make it look like it was 'torn down' for unsuspecting motorists to play it off... the scoundrals!

Yes it is amazing last weekend I was on SR161 going home when my V1 started chirping, it seemed like it went on for ever! I reset my odometer right after it started alerting and I clocked off 2.6 miles, the trooper shooting it was coming at me the same speed., so over 5 miles! :shock:
