Default Shake your V1, does it rattle?

I noticed today that my few month old V1 has a bit of a rattle to it inside, when mildly being shaken. It doesn't sound like a broken rattle, but a loose rattle. It seems to be coming from the display side of the unit. So, everyone do me a favor and tell me if you hear anything rattle inside!

Can you open these up carefully without visually voiding the warranty?

Mine does that. It is coming from the volume (inner knob). If you put your finger on it and shake it, does the rattle go away? Mine does. If that is it, I don't consider it anything to worry about.

Folks! Please don't shake your V1 or drop it unless you want to take a chance to damage it....

I just sent my V1 in for repair because I would get the E error every time it was powered on. I noticed this rattle when I was packing it up for shipment; I am not sure if it rattled prior to the E error appearing, but I certainly never noticed it rattling before. I wouldn't think a mild shake should harm the unit, since it is constantly in motion while I'm driving.

Rattler vs cobra, anyone? Nope, my 3.872 doesn't rattle although I've only used it a few times since upgrading a few years back because I've been in Ontario, Canada (aka, Spectreville).

If I were in Spectreville I think I would opt for one of the RDs that were stealth and not Spectre detectable. The V1 (any version) is highly detectable.

Quite true. That's what the STi's for... Oh, how come my signature line (that used to list me detectors) is gone?
