    Default Carrying Case

I am VERY close to biting the bullet and ordering a "Returned" unit.

I would like to get any accessories at the same time to save on shipping.

The case looks nice, but I wanted to know if anyone here actualy bought the case and use it?

Do you think it's a wothwhile accessories to buy for $29.00 ?

What else would YOU buy as an accessories for the V1 ?

    Thanks, Tim

BTW : Mentalindustries has sent me a picture of the case with the V1 in it.

It would be nice so if you pull it down it will be protected. I plan to get one, I hate just throwing it in the glove box with extra ketchup packets and lord knows what else.

Maybe a remote display depending on where you will be mounting the V1. (The carrying case is a good idea).

I guess I miss the point of the remote display. Sure I understand the obvious but where would you mount the v1 you couldn't see it?

I have the same feelings about the remote display....I just dont see the use if you have the unit mounted on the windshield. If you dont feel safe taking your eyes off the road for a second to look at the detector than I dont think you have the necessary skills to safely operate a vehicle.

I have a friend whom mounted it[his V1] (hardwired it) up by his passenger side Visor in his car... he uses the remote display to convey information right along with all his other gauges on his dash... so he doesnt have to look over to the passenger side.

I dnk why he mounts it (the V1) overthere... he says it is completely out of his way, and still gets identical radar to mounting it center (He said he doesnt worry much about laser since its in his 'canyon carver')... which I tend to agree, not many LEO's use laser in the twisties around here.

Anycase it (the remote display) is not something I would buy and or use... but it serves him well.

I did buy the case and never used it. It's too big to store anywhere in my car conveniently. I think the only time I'd use it would be if I had to pack it onto my carry-on luggage on a plane. That doesn't happen very often so it has been sitting in my closet in the original plastic ever since I got it.

I ended up making my own case that I can keep anywhere in my car.
