Default AUDI A6 (2005) and Valentine One

    Hello

I'm trying to install a Valentine One in my Audi A6 2005, and I want to connect it on a +12V wire from the internal lighting.

But I don't know wich wire to use ...

I want it to work even when the light is switched off (doors closed) !

Why not make it very easy on yourself and just tap into the +12V from the cigarette lighter outlet? Seems as if you are overly complicating the install. You can also tap directly into your fuse box for an ignition switched power source. Radio Shack sells fuse taps for exactly this purpose.

    Hope this helps!

On BMW's the 12v wire that is only active when the car is on, is a green wire with white stripe. Not sure about the Audi though, might be the same.

    Thank you Jeff

    I'll try this wire

In fact, I want to mount it high, near the internal lighting, so it's easier for me to connect it on the 12V ligthing

Be careful though, just because it works on the BMW doesn't neccessarily mean it will work on the Audi. You might want to consult your dealer b4 hand as well.

    surely

I'll test this wire with a small light and a fine wire connect on a "ground" and the other wire on the green/white connector

My experience with Audi's and V1's, since there a few in my family. Is that most of the time they hardwire through the dash vs. the overhead light.

Should be the green/white... 12v ciggy lighter is easier dont gotta worry about anything.

Do yourself a favor and borrow/buy a cheap DVM and just measure the voltage...
