    Default v 1.7 opinions

I just picked up a v1.7 at a very fair price. It is one the the older versions without individual band lights. I wanted to know if I should keep it or sell it on fleabay. Of all the things I've read the 1.7 is a very good detector with less falsing than the 1.8 versions. Is this true? I'm also concerned with this units KA sensitivity. Is Ka good enough from this detector? What would you guys do? As a side note I think I'm converted to valentine from the bel 65. The bel is in for warranty work after only 2 weeks of use! I'm not very happy with the bel at the moment.

Front laser only eh. Good choice I prefer it for now.
At one point you could also upgrade to just a band ID display and Ka is not much worse if any.
Check your software you at least want the 97 update version 2.879 and up or else your Ka sucks and you have no memory retention.

The V1 does rock but keep in mind that K band falsing drives some people nuts. It SOMETIMES gets to me. I love the Autoscan mode on the RX65. It is silent but deadly.

I get about a 40 second warning with automode on my x50... how is that deadly?

    happya$$,

yep. in that the percentage of total alerts to bonafide threats (not door operners and the lot) is a bit higher with the x50 [and rx65] than with the v1 which tends to alert to much more sources of actual radar usage, bonafide threat or not...
