Just finished the wet sanding, didnt come out perfect but def. much better than before thanks again everyone for all the help
Im surprised wet sanding didn't remove all the blue, did you start with a pretty course grit? Also, what kind of car do you have, I assume you have plastic headlights?
I am assuming that the polycarbonate that these lenses are made of is produced in varying qualities and degrees of hardness, resulting in varying degrees of success with Veil. Toss in the changes that take place in the polycarb with age and weathering, and it's not terribly surprising that we get inconsistent results. But man, this is sure starting to sound like a real crap shoot.

i have a 99 maxima it has plastic headlights i started with a 400 grit and moved up, i prolly should have used a more course grit. but im not going try it again, it looks ok for now till i can buy new headlights off of ebay, hopefully next time i apply veil it will work out a lil better with the new ones

Don't go lower than 400, that is lowest I would go.

Have no fear about reapplying VEIL after sanding. I did and it looks great. After sanding your headlights will be smooth and VEIL will go on really well. My only concern with mine is I actually may have gotten it too thin.
When I did the driver's side I used the small foam brush included with VEIL to trim around the edges. Then I filled in with the medium foam brush. Where the two brush sizes met there are some streaks and runs. I just used the medium one on the passenger side except in tight corners and got a better result that way.
I think you'll have to airbrush if you want the best finish. I was careful but there are still brushtrails and little runs here and there. VEIL is so thin it's kind of hard to work with, although I'm not an expert painter by any means either. Even though it doesn't look perfect on my car I'm quite satisfied, especially after what they looked like before.
I applied veil G4 this morning and everything went well except the headlights. When i went to remove the veil, blue stains were on my headlights. I have tried ammonia and rubbing alcohol but didnt work. Are there any other solutions???
I'm going to be doing mine soon, but how did you apply it though? I'm planning on using an air brush...
