Default Stained Headlights

I applied veil G4 this morning and everything went well except the headlights. When i went to remove the veil, blue stains were on my headlights. I have tried ammonia and rubbing alcohol but didnt work. Are there any other solutions???

Old or new headlights? What did you do to prep them? How did you apply the Veil? If everything went well, then why were you trying to remove it? The recommendation is for 91 percent alcohol, not rubbing alcohol. Did you try the proper alcohol?

The headlights are about a year old, I cleaned them with soap and water and let it dry for about an hour. Everything else( the foglights, corners, and turnsignals) except the headlights turned out good. The headlights were not yellow before installation.

Veil does turn some headlights a tint of blue.

It's a game not a fashion show play to Win!

Try the 91% rubbing alcohol first, if that does not work then you will need to wetsand.

Seeing as though that post someone quoted was all about MY experiences with the same problem, let me tell you this...I tried everything that you did, and then some. In the end, it came down to wetsanding the headlights. I believe you said that your headlights were plastic, right? If they were glass, I couldn't give any advice on what to try. Here's what I used:

400, 600 and 100-grit wet/dry sandpaper
squirt bottle with water and DISH soap
3M rubbing compound
Meguiar's PlastX

I started by soaking the headlights with the soap and water. Then I sanded using the 400 grit, then the 600, and finally the 1000-grit sandpaper, always making sure to use the soap and water while sanding. After sanding, dry the headlamps with a terry cloth. Apply a quarter-size spot of rubbing compound to the terry cloth, and rub like heck i a circular motion. Once you've done that, take a polishing pad and apply a little PlastX and apply with light to medium pressure in circular strokes. Buff with a clean cloth, and they should be as good as new!

I'd say it took me about 1.5 hours altogether.
