RU ALERT
I can't seem to get my Pro73 to stop saying RU ALERT. I tried resetting it and following the instructions in the manual and same problem. When I try to switch to any mode (City, City1, Highway) it gives me the RU ALERT. Tried to call customer service today but they are closed. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions .........
I think I read somewhere that the RU message meant Return Unit but I cant be sure of that.
According to the manual (I downloaded from their website) it is related to the "Stay Alert" feature. When engaged, the unit displays "RU Alert" (short for "Are You Alert?") and beeps every 30-60 seconds. You then have to press one of the buttons on the unit to tell it you're still awake. If you don't, it'll sound an alarm. According to the manual, the Power button will disengage this feature. Holding City down for 2 seconds engages it (maybe that'll toggle it off as well).
