I was driving home on I-25 today, thankfully not speeding, when I got a Ka band alert. About .1 - .2 miles later, I saw a Denver PD Motorcycle cop on the right shoulder writing a citation. Now, I was in the left lane. The hwy is 6 lanes wide (on the southbound side), and it was heavy traffic. Still, with my detector mounted high, I should have received more notice than two-tenths of a mile unless the radar was off and just picked up last minute side lobe leakage or something.
Any ideas on why this was so short?
