Heres my experience with the 1730 since July,1 2006-December 3,2006
0 X (No confirmed hits on X)
5 K (1 Olympia PD 1/4mi, 2 Speed signs 1/8mi, 2 Neighborhood speed watch 1/4mi)
1 KA (Thurston co. Sheriff 1/8mi)
2 LIDAR (1 Olympia PD, 1 Lacey PD)
The only Ka was definitely a save at about 11:30pm 50/40PSL
The K band from OPD was also a definite save with the speed going from 30 to 25 he was about 20 yards past the 25mph sign. Also saved a trucker behind me who had to slow down because of me 8) he was doing at least 35. The speed patrols were also both saves but they can't write tickets. And I was also "SAVED" from the speed sign with plenty of time.
LPD lidar I was doing the speed limit and got warning at about 120 yards.(I was the lead car  luckily I was doing the limit cause he had me)
OPD lidar I beleive was a save going up a steep 25mph hill I received an aletr about 100yards but had about 4-6 cars blocking me fom his view.
I also received lots of rolling radar(K and KA) one from behind while I was doing 70/60PSL heading to a family reunion on I-5 S just past Centralia. I slowed to 60 and checked the shoulder, nothing, oncoming lanes, nothing , rearview mirror bingo! WSP waaaayyyyy back there. Passes me about 1-2 mins. later.
So with a speeding ticket being $91 minimum... I think this detector paid for itself at least once! It's no top 3, but for $30 :!:
(All my distances are aproximate, I'll update later when I mark it off with the odometer.)
