Default Just bought a New Whistler Pro 58 for $75!

Well I guess i am a new member and have a new detector coming. Do you think $75 for a Pro 58 is worth it, I heard it has the same per as the 73 Pro.

If its from amazon its going to be a refurb. and has no manufactures warranty. I would send it back without even opening it and get one from Roy and ....get a better model......ie. escort 8500, sti pro, rx65 or even a v1 they will give you an enormus gain in dectection range and many features.

I am mounting it On a R6 Racing Motorcycle that does 160mph and 3 sec to 60mph. I have a Joe rocket manta tank bag coming that has a top pocket for a radar detector. Do you think it will work in a top pocket in this tank bag. I am going to use the inclued hard wire. Later on , i plan on getting a Lazor Jammer and some veil stuff. If ,I don't like the Detector I will get a refund from amazon.
That's a good price for the 58. Usually $20 more than that.

I don't see why it wouldn't work in the pocket, as long as it has a clear view of the road ahead of you. WHistler's aren't very loud, though, so you might have trouble hearing it over your bike.

Also, at $160 mph, no RD will give you ample warning.

On back roads,I can easly out run a radio, I would never stay on the highway get off the first exit and weave though traffic,no cop will risk that at 130mph, sometimes I put mud on my plate too. i have burned many cops in my old days, but now i would just pull over-not as much fun though  My next Bike is the Famous R1 that can be easyly moded to do over 200mph - Ya I carry spike strips to fing at the fuzz too  A taste of there own medicine

Lol your the reason our insurance rates go up, not to mention a retard that buys a radar detector to drive recklessly. Your are solely the reason people that buy RDs are stereotyped.
