hey guys first time poster long time reader. I got an idea that i wanted to ask you guys about. I got a whistler pro 58 and I am pleased how well it works for the price I paid. Now i was looking around on the site and came to the conclusion that the sti's biggest advantage is the RDD undetectability. Now from what I read, it works by reading the frequencies that the RD is giving out. From the research I have done, the best thing to keep frequencies in a device and keep them from going out into the environment is a Faraday Cage. So i thought of something> I wonder if I got some really fine copper mesh, opened up the detector and lined the top, sides and bottom of the detector with the mesh. Than I would use some wire to electrically connect all the pices together and to ground. In effect making a faraday cage. I would leave the front and back open so that the signals could get in. I wonder if this would work. Anyone every try it?
