Micheal B Question
So far 98% of the sites say their out of stock on the xtr 690 and 78. I was wondering you have any status as far as dealers getting their shipment and when the second round of shipment is coming. Because many of the major ordering sites say their out of stock. The release of this product has been a little while now. I would assume at the very least the major dealers would start having them in stock but so far that isnt the case. Its not like millions of people are buying these things.

I know some Pro78's were shipped a few weeks ago and XTR-690's are on the way as we speak. A second shipment of both models will follow shortly.

Michael, what should Pro-78s be selling for from online retailers? What's a "legit" price on them?
-
price for a Pro78 should be around $180

i just ordered a pro-78 on wed. and received it today via overnight delivery for RULE VIOLATION.
haven't had a chance to test it out, but the detector appears to be of quality build and loaded with features.

Michael B i have question what radar detector do you use i know whistler but what model?
-
I am driving with the Pro78 and have approx 5,000 miles logged on it.
It is louder than my Pro73
The display is more vibrant than my Pro73
The Auto Dim works great (no more manually changing it at night)
The added Ka sensitivity has been noticable
The added anti radar detector filters help to reduce most false alerts due to "that other radar detector brand".

I agree with the above, Michael. I have much the same experiences.

Michael B do you ever try tweaking your RD that you drive with? I mean really cranking the sensitivity up just for fun?

I would NOT recommend that with the Pro 78. I'm already picking up door openers .3 and .4 miles away. That's CRAZY far. I'd hate to be a mile from the 7-Eleven and alerting on its friggin door opener!
