Please explain this to me...
If the XTR-690 is the "budget" version of the pro-78 and quite frequently I see it being cheaper than the pro-78...then why is it the XTR-690 costs more than the pro-78 on their website? 229.95 as opposed to 199.95???

Is this their corporate site? or just a misleading hostname "whistler-radar.com"?
that is not Whistler's official site -- they are at whistlergroup.com
the pro-78's display AFAIK is more expensive to manufacture, though it seems like the xtr-690 has the most features. Its LCD display is apparently harder to see in direct sunlight.
