Roy's Pro-78 review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WspEwhambyE&NR=1
I don't know if this was posted here yet, but it was an interesting review. I was disapointed that there wasn't much action, but a lot of talking.
One interesting thing I noticed was the PULSE alert -- the first time it was tested, the detector alerted to PULSE, but not on any subsequent runs.
What is the algorithm for PULSE? I believe someone stated that it's for any sudden-on signal of strength 7 or above?
Could the close (<15s in between) alert frequency have something to do with it?
Another thing I noticed was the response time of the unit -- it responded to the alert very fast, definitely what I'd call "instantaneous"
EDIT: Another thing, Roy keeps on saying that the Pro-78 has "extra features" compared to the XTR-690. What exactly is he referring to? I'm guessing the hardware kit, dash pad, and bright blue LED display?
