I was driving through Creedmoor, NC today with a PSL of 35 which is hard to do especially after running 70mph out on I-85 a few minutes before! I was trying hard to keep it under 45 and I recieved a k-band alert and that convinced me to finally sqeeze the brake pedal a little
My alert ramped up nicely and finally I could see the LEO coming towards me on the two lane road running constant on. I passed him at about .40 miles after my first alert, so I probably got about .80 miles or so of warning time to slow down...and at 35mph that seemed like a lifetime!
One interesting thing, I did experience the unit giving the priority to the k-band alert because there is a known x-band alert in this area that always wakes the detector up, and the Pro-78 ignored that due to the k-band priority! 8) I had always wondered about this scenario, and the Pro 78 handled it like a champ!!! (Would still love to see a multiple threat screen  )
Last couple of weeks had been boring around here, and some of the experiences I had encountered up until now had given me no more than 1/2 +/- mile of warning (which was starting to worry me a bit) but now that the opportunities are becoming more frequent, I am seeing what all the hype has been about. Whistler has done a great job on this detector! My confidence is growing daily with my Pro 78-
