Just got my pro-78 today. I'll see how it performs next to my V1 during tomorrows commute to work.

Is there a visor clip availabe for this detector? Where can I order one?

I bought this at a online store and there wasn't an actual receipt but I do have an order confirmation email. Is the warranty still valid for me?
Not sure if I can mention the name but its antonline.

thanks for the help guys and I'm looking forward to the new firmware update!

And I think you can get a visor clip from www.whistlergroup.com

just mounted the pro-78 above the RVM and about a foot away the V1 is mounted on the passenger visor.

Powered both on while making some adjustments on the windshield and the whistler picked up a continuous weak X band from the V1 and a minute later the V1 picked up almost full Ka from the pro-78.

    Normal or not?

    1. Never run two RDs at the same time unless you intend to test their filtering.

    2. Sounds right, interference-wise.

Yes, it is normal for the V1 to leak a bit on X band, and for a Whistler to leak strongly on Ka while it's alerting or a menu is active. I don't know why, maybe Mike B can fill us in on the gory technical details that we so love to hear.

But yeah, you really shouldn't run two detectors in the same car, even if they don't appear to be alerting to each other. They could be detecting each other's presence and discarding that as a false, but then might as well be rejecting valid radar because of the interference.
