    Default Something worthy of note

I did my own GOL testing today. Pulled up to stop light saw bmw to the right of me. It was a convert. he had his top down it was late evening so the heat finally came down to where you could roll down your windows and it was a nice night. But anyway upon looking I notice he had a V1 nice and straight right under his rear view mirror. I was actually shocked to see he had it in the exact place I put my xtr. I wasnt gonna drag race this guy or anything. But the light where sitting at is always long especially during the late evening. Anyway I get a ka band alert and about a second later. His starts chirping away. Just as mine said KA his alerted. The delay was like xtr KA - V1 Beep. It almost had a stereo effect to it. Anyway it was one bar. My whistler drop the signal and stop alerting his V1 was still chirping. Then my came back in with a ka again this time with 2 bars then finally both of are where ramping up and at this time the light turn green. Off in the distance was a LEO coming up to the light. We both went by the light I find it funny. The bmw slowed down and he look over into my car to see what detector I had.

I dont know what was all in play at that traffic light. But I did see the xtr alert first. I'm not saying the xtr is better then the v1 by any means. But it was a neat observation to say the least.

Just to point out, when Whistlers have a menu active or are issuing an alert, it'll false on Ka, so you could've just set off his V1.

No this was not a false their was and active cop running ka. It went to full as I went by this LEO.

    Please stop what happya$$

Well anyway I just thought I report it. it happen the other night. I was joking about the gol testing I didnt mean to strike any raw nerves. But the situation that happen was unique in the fact we where both stop and getting a alert.

I have a cobra story that happen about a month ago that was hilarious. If I can get the time I will try to get that one out as well.

I have seen many Pro 78's and 690's and they are what they are. After seeing the Vector series with my own two eyes I must say that these are the budget models to have. They will not come with Mike B's excellent CS but they will perform much better than a Pro 78/690

well be as that may. I'm just reporting what I saw. Like i said in no way am I saying the xtr is better then the V1. Its just a report thats all.

I have own so many bells I have given up on them and there crap a s s customer service. yeah they might perform this and that. But I have been with whistler for the longest d a m n time and put so many miles on whistler's past detectors. I have not gotten one single ticket nope not one. So I think that says something. Also never have I had a whistler fail on me. Nor did I have problem with cal error etc. When I want a detector I want a detector that when you plug it in you know for sure that the god d a m n thing is gonna start. This is what make whistler whistler. I should start a museum of my failed bell collection.

I glad you are happy with yours. I am happy with mine also but to say they are as sensitive as a Vector would be a lie. Mine serves my purposes perfect and the Whistler team is INCREDIBLE.
