Default Lots of Laser falses on my pro 78 rev c. Any way to adjust??

I got a laser alert when I was at a complete stop today. This is not the first time this happened. Is there a way to lower the sensitivity for laser on the pro 78? I was just thinking of disabling laser alerting to avoid the false alerts. I have a vector 955 and an 8500 x50 and I never have laser falses. Why is this?

Did you look around for any luxury vehicles? My Pro 78 has only falsed twice, and it was in the prescense of laser cruise control

I was around a lot of vehicles but they were all driving like 20mph or stopped. I might have picked up one of those led tail lights found on luxury cars but my question is, I've been using my vector 955 and x50 for much longer than the pro 78 and never get laser falses. Can the laser sensitivity be turned down?

I don't think so. I would rather have laser falses and be able to pick up a scatter shot. When I get my jammer I will still leave laser alert on my Pro 78 because it is better at picking up scatter shots due to high mounting.

    Maybe Michael B would know...

other day i was getting non stop laser from behind with v1, wondering wtf is that .... an infinity fx behind me at 2 car length's away and it was beeping for 5 mins till i took a turn and got out of the way.

lesson: not pro 78 fault , it's the freakin cars which incorporate some kind a laser guided steering or something in infinity's especially.

I never get falses around town however with my PRO 78 and my V995 both will false on laser anytime I get around the airport. However this is the only place I have had it happen before.

    I have no idea but:

For the Valentine, you used to be able to send the detector back in to them for an "airport mod" to eliminate false alerts from these sources. They would go to some extreme lengths to improve the ground connection between the laser detector circuit board and the magnesium case. Basically they would smooth the connection, add some conductive epoxy and then bake it in an oven.

Whether the mod is still required, I don't know. Worth looking into if you frequently drive near airports.
