Default Got a laser save ! (left radar on)

I was traveling north bound on our loop 289 and started to get Ka. With it being around 5pm i knew the motorcades are working the loop with there Lt1 ultralytes. Keep in mind our 15 cycle officers wrote 40,000 tickets last year ! I got about a mile alert on Ka when i came up on the officer nailed me with laser right as i just came up over the overpass ! I actually got a laser alert ! But the genius was so busy he left his 35.5 on and thats what saved me from the laser trap. I'm saving for a laser jammer ! Most idiots here have cobras so i'm sure there Ka never went off.

I had a similar experience the other day.

Driving RT2 west between Westminster and Gardner in light traffic, I received a K band in an area I do not normally receive an alert.

About 1 mile later I saw the trooper ourside his vehicle in the drizzling rain shooting Laser at me.

Had he not left his radar on, I would have been going 10 over PSL but because I received a K band alert 1 mile earlier, I just smiled as I drove by him going the PSL.

It seems to be a fairly common occurrence. I don't know if it's deliberate or accidental, probably a little both. But anyway, there are still plenty of those without RDs they can bag.
If I'm passing you on the right, YOU are in the wrong lane!

If speed kills, how come I'm still alive?

How far away did he hit you from? How do you have your detector mounted? At what angle and location? What Car?

I don't think they care about nailing detector users specifically... They most likely do it to pinpoint a specific car when their radar reads some high speed.

Hit me around 500 feet. My 78 is hardwired above the RVM. He shot me dead on straight ahead. I'm guessing it hit my windshield. I wonder what kind of Rd Mike B has? I was in my 06 Civic coupe.

I know this doesn't have to do with Rd's but my car has been hit 4 times in 6 months all not my fault accidents. Do u think i should trade it off? Bad luck? 3 of the times it has been hit on the same side. I'm always avoiding wrecks and i don't speed but 10 over and i'm not a aggressive driver.

I was running an XTR-695 prototype.

Before anyone asks, I did not have the LSID feature on so I do not know what he had for a PPS rate.

I did have my Ka RSID on but I did not encounter any Ka radar that day.

Unit was on the windshield just above the wipers.

As soon as I crested the hill he shot me.

I had been doing the speed limit for the last 3/4 mile because he left his K band radar on.
