Whistler Pro 78 from Amazon.com
I have been reading a lot of posts to help me decide which RD is best for me. I have decided on the Pro 78 and was considering purchasing it from amazon (for the price) and wanted to know if anybody had any bad experience with them as of late... like not getting the Rev. C version. The other option was the Bel 955, but I like the Pro 78 display better.

Well, I just ordered it from Amazon for $130 with no S/H cost and should get it on Tuesday! If I should be so unfortunate not to get the Rev C, how can I get it upgraded? Rev C has been out for a while now so I'm hoping thats what I"m getting. From what I've read, it sounds like its best to turn off POP. Not sure if I want to turn off X band yet, want to confirm its not needed here in Austin first.

I'm happy to report back to let your guys know I got my Pro 78 a day early at work. I couldn't wait 'til 5pm to check what version it was so I went ahead and walked the 2.5 (each way) blocks to the parking garage to make sure I had rev. C .... and I did!!! Feels good to get a new toy!!! I will be traveling this weekend so it will be a good chance to test it. I could report back with my results if anybody is interested. Thanks to all you guys that help us rooks my an educated buy. This is my first RD!
