    Default Whistler 1660

Today I got the Whistler 1660 off of eBay, but it has no instructions with it. I was wondering if someone could help me out and explain some of the features and how they work. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Go to www.whistlergroup.com and click on MANUALS then scroll down to 1660 and click on the link.

You do know that unit is about 4 years old don't you?
I would be very careful trusting that.
Please keep us informed on how it works for you.

The cops around here use 10 year old equipment, so I should be fine.

I live in a small town in Mississippi. They have old equipment, but they use it as much as they can. They will write tickets for 5 miles over the limit without blinking an eye. My old Uniden does a great job in my truck and I just needed an extra one for the car. So far the Whistler is doing it's job. I don't think our HPs use any modern equipment either, since my 3yr old Uniden can detect them at about a 1/4 mile. It has saved me many times!

If I put the 1660 in city mode, will it just make X band less sensitive or will it make all of the bands less sensitive?
