Yesterday i ran my 1650 and my pro 78 togother because there were troopers out yesterday. My pro 78 was mounted up high above my RVM and my 1650 was just below my wipers on my dash. The 1650 completely missed 3 instant on blasts that the pro 78 picked up. When i was about 400 feet from a trooper he instant on me and the pro 78 lit up to Ka 9 while the 1650 was only at Ka 4. I recieved a ticket about 7 years ago from this unit. The 78 trounced the 1650 by at least a mile while the 78 gave me 2 miles from Ka 34.7 and Instant on blasts at point blank range was very weak for the 1650 Ka 1-4 strength.
I'm waiting for the new PRO series. Pro 88? For your question I'm not sure i didn't have a problem. They only went off on each other when they were side by side.

Whistler XTR 695 maybe depends on LCD screen
Have owned
- Pro 73-sold (good detector)
- 1650-still have (4 tickets falses on Ka all day)
- 8500 X50-Sold (way to many falses)
I will double check on Tuesday and let you know.
I do not want to guess and be incorrect.
May I ask why you would run both units at the same time?
Pro 78 I have noticed has GREAT laser false filtering. So I was going to get an XTR-695 mount it up high, and put my Pro 78 down low for just laser. The Laser Mask falses some, but the Pro 78 only alerts to real threats I have found since the last time I sent it in.
It is truly a fine detector!

But still, just because they do not go off does not mean they are not hurting each others performance!

dont know about laser filtering they are built on the same platform what makes you think they would perform differently?

Well he wants the second unit mounted low which will help a lot with detection. Laser is usually shot at your lights, and since the beam is so narrow, you need the detector as close as possible to get good laser alerts. Radar range is better, however, up high.
When I get my 695 I was thinking of having one pointing backwards but since I have plastic windows I'd need to keep it on my dash. How far do they have to be from each other to not conflict with K and Ka.
