 Quick questions - Thanks
Much has been posted and said about how heat affects the delicate electronics of radar detectors, so here's a couple of questions:
1. Do the speaker grills on the top of my xtr-330 also act as vents to help reduce the heat inside the unit?
2. If I mount my RD on my dash with velcro, then place a hat over it to conceal the RD, will this hat (baseball type cloth cap) affect the sensitivity/operation of the RD in any way?
3. Would a hat help keep the RD cooler by blocking the direct sunlight on the dash, or will the hat only hurt by keeping any heat from disipating?
